The Gaza Peace Deal

President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hold a joint press conference announcing the U.S. peace plan for Gaza

Description

In 2025, the United States helped advance efforts to end the war in Gaza through a ceasefire and hostage-release agreement, supported by a broader framework for humanitarian relief, stabilization, reconstruction, and long-term governance. President Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict outlined a 20-point roadmap focused on ending hostilities, securing the release of hostages, expanding humanitarian access, and creating conditions for Gaza’s future security and economic recovery. The Trump Declaration for Enduring Peace and Prosperity, signed by the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, affirmed international support for arrangements designed to promote peace, security, stability, and opportunity for Palestinians and Israelis. The initiative marked a major U.S.-led diplomatic effort to move the conflict toward de-escalation and post-conflict stabilization.
